General Orthopaedic Care


    • We offer both operative and non-operative treatments, including:
    • Joint Replacements: Shoulder, hip, knee, and small joints of the hands and feet.
    • Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery: Treatment for broken bones, tendon injuries, and inflammation.
    • Surgery for Inflammatory Joints.
    • Surgery for Infected Bones, Joints, and Tendons.
    • Treatment of Complications: Addressing issues related to traumatic amputations and deformities of the upper and lower limbs.
    • Medico-Legal Assessments: Available for personal injuries, but only if referred by attorneys, insurance companies, or mutual benefit companies.
    • The practise does not treat spine problems and these are referred to other experts.

FIRST CONSULTATION


First Consultation requires physical presence and is mandatory. During the first consultation, a comprehensive hearing of the patient and complaints are noted. Private investigation is requested after a thorough medical investigation is done. Diagnosis is then made. Treatment optimisers are given to the patient or client. A Consent for treatment has to be given either verbal or in writing.

SURGICAL TREATMENT


In the case of surgical treatment procedures, an informed consent in writing will be needed in writing.  An estimate of expected cost of treatment will be available based on past experiences, for treating conditions similar to yours or dependants.  With the expected costs you will be able to make a educated decision whether to persue on a particular route or not.


It may be necessary to refer you to other experts in order to stabilize a pre-existing medical condition to ensure fitness of surgery if necessary.  If surgery has been performed, it may be necessary to refer you for rehabilitation usually in the form of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, biokinetics or dietary therapy. If finances are a challenge, you will be referred to Public Healthcare for such treatment.


The treatment process will be transparent and means to bring the best outcome for your problems. The flow of events in the treatment process will depend on whether operative treatment or non- operative treatment has been made by the pasient/client.


There will be open lines of treatmentduring the process of treatment.

These services are provided independently within the same building complex. However, clients have the option to select alternative service providers elsewhere.


Rehabilitation Services

Within the same complex, we offer a range of rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and auditory services, and biokinetics. Clients also have the option to choose alternative service providers elsewhere.
